HEC Building - Lobby, Atrium
CLIENT:
WHERE:
6698 68th Ave, N. Pinellas Park, FL
WHEN:
September ~ October 2024
The HEC building, built in 1984, is currently occupied by the National University, but this current tenant plans to move out soon, and this campus building will mainly be used as office space. The new owner of this building decided to renovate the outdated main lobby and the upper atrium spaces into modern, clean, future forwards, inviting new public spaces for new tenants.

Our primary focus is to create an inviting yet calming lobby/ atrium space with a visual connection to nature so the new tenants can enjoy and mingle in this oasis during the work break. We thought this exposure to nature would improve their well-being, health, and productivity. We took advantage of the vertical opening and the exposure to the natural sunlight. We created a small indoor garden under this open space. We also integrated simple lines and new finishes to create a modern, clean, future-forward atmosphere.
